Shipping Options for Your Panther
The Full Panther kit ships on one "Full Kit Pallet" and one "Long Stuff" crate or one "Full Kit Crate" and one "Long Stuff" crate. You can opt to have your tail kit shipped via UPS prior to the full kit, to get started on your build right away (ships within a week of order).
We are not responsible for shipping damage. We do our best to pack things as well as we possibly can to protect your parts, however accidents will happen and you MUST follow proper procedures for dealing with damages.
Crating and packing fees are listed below. Shipping charges are figured when your shipment is ready to leave the SPA facility. We can offer highly discounted LTL freight costs. The SPA shipping department will contact you to arrange shipment and whether you want residential delivery or dock pickup.
The options for shipping your Full Panther kit are:
1. Tail kit shipped UPS ground to you right away to get building while you wait on the rest of #2 or #3
2. "Long Stuff Crate" plus "Full Kit" Pallet (default option)
3. "Long Stuff Crate" plus "Full Kit" Crate (you must tell us you want the crate option)

Panther Long Stuff Crate
Full crate - 153"l x 13"w x 15"h - weighs 215 lbs
Long stuff crate includes wing main and rear spars, longerons, wing slider tubes, aileron and elevator push rod tubes and any spar hardware ordered.

Panther Kit Pallet (default option)
Pallet with double decked OSB bottom that has skins in it. Forward fuselage cage and boxes strapped and shrink wrapped to top of pallet. DO NOT DISCARD YOUR PALLET, YOUR SKINS ARE IN THERE!

Panther Kit Crate (required for international shipping)
Full crate - 10'L x 4'Wx 5'H crate
Full crate with double decked OSB bottom that has skins in it. Forward fuselage cage and boxes strapped to top. Fully crated sides and top with OSB/plywood and 2"x4".
DO NOT DISCARD YOUR CRATE BOTTOM, YOUR SKINS ARE IN THERE!
You must tell us if you want to upgrade to a fully crated kit shipment, otherwise you will receive the pallet listed above (unless you are international shipping)

Taking Delivery
Although Your Kit weighs over 700 lbs and is 10 feet long, don't panic about accepting delivery at your residence. You don't need a fork lift or any specialized equipment. The kit can be unloaded by two people if need be.
If you chose the pallet option the banding holding the kit boxes to the pallet can be cut and each box may be easily unloaded from the truck by hand.
The pallet itself (that has your skins in it - DO NOT THROW THIS AWAY!) weighs between 200 - 250 lbs. It can be unloaded by hand by two people of average strength if you lower each end of the pallet off the truck one at a time, with both people on one end at a time only.
It is a good idea to have a few friends on hand when you take delivery to help unload the truck.
If you chose the fully crated option then it is best to pickup your shipment at the dock or have it delivered to a location with a fork lift. Note - you must use fork extensions to lift.
If you are having the kit shipped to a location where a fork lift is available you must use fork extensions. DO NOT ATTEMPT to lift the pallet or crate without fork extensions, you will damage the skins in the bottom of the pallet.
Do not, under any circumstances, attempt to unload the pallet or crate from a trailer using a lift gate. Because your kit pallet is 10-12.5 feet in length, it will not fit onto the lift gate properly and your freight will very likely be damaged.
Shipping Inspection/Checking Parts -
Inspect your shipment BEFORE you sign for it!
Look for any breaks in the outside covering (whether it be cardboard, shrink wrap, or a crate, look underneath to see if there is any damage to the bottom of the pallet) and if you find ANYTHING then you need to sign the bill of lading as damaged. NO DETAILS ARE NEEDED, just the word “DAMAGED” written clearly and sign your name. If you do not mark it damaged then the company WILL NOT COVER IT and YOU will be liable for replacing the items and paying the shipping again. They do not make exceptions! You need to take PHOTOS! Detailed photos (preferably in the delivery truck or in front of the truck, to show it was damaged before you took possession) of the box/crate/pallet and the items showing damages. Then email them to support@flywithspa.com ASAP.
Please remember to check all of your parts immediately after receiving them and keep all packaging until you are able to verify all of the parts arrived undamaged, and are accounted for.
You need to inventory your parts against the packing list and notify us within 7 days of any missing or damaged items.
